This portfolio was set up to display the designs, text, and projects of PhD student Anne Ladyem McDivitt for 697: History and New Media at George Mason University. As the projects are created, they will be uploaded to this website, which will show the progress that has been made over the semester. Clio II: History and the New Media is a course that PhD students at George Mason University take in order to understand how to make a transition from traditional historical scholarship to a more digital envirnoment. In the course, we are expected to learn how to work with images, design, text, accessibility, and understanding how to transition from traditional manuscripts to a digital realm.
For my work, I will be focusing on the video game industry in the United States from 1958-1986, with a particular focus on masculinity.
